In My Eyes

Monique Curry, MBA is the author of In My Eyes. Although this is her first literary work Ms. Curry is a proponent of the integration of art and design into the everyday lexicon. Carl Long

Taylor Made Publishing strives to help individuals tell their story. The first one we told is that of a living legend Carl Long. Long is a former Negro League Baseball Player who credits his faith in God, baseball and himself for his success. Mr. Long passed away on January 12th, 2015.  He may no longer be with us, but his legacy shall endure forever. Mr. Long was not just one of our authors, he is the reason we exist today. Mr. Long was our very FIRST author. He walked in Diane's office and told her that God told her she was going to write his book. We are so eternally grateful for his faithfulness to his vision and his patience with us.  You may download a copy of the program for his home-going service by clicking here:

A Game of Faith - The Story of Negro League Baseball Player Carl Long

Former Negro League Baseball Player Carl Long

Former Negro League Baseball Player Carl Long

Carl Long transitioned from this earthly life in January 2015. We're grateful he left his story behind for us to read, learn and enjoy. His autobiography highlights his life from the cotton fields of South Carolina to playing professional baseball in the Negro Leagues against players like Satchel Paige. It’s a story about his faith in himself, the game and God. A Game of Faith is not just a history book, it’s a story about crossing over from segregation to integration and accepting life’s challenges along the way. It’s about making the best of your life and situations. It’s about working hard and being the best you can be.
